My Book-- Heart Matters: Healing and Restoration

A Synopsis of My Book Heart Matters: Healing and Restoration

Through the years God puts on my heart a subject to write about sometimes a whole chapter can come to me all at once, sometimes subjects come in bits and pieces. What I have done is gather those bits and pieces and assembled them into book form. As I have said before what I write puts light on our Lord and Savior, Jesus, the Christ. The Holy Word of God tells us who He is, all that He does, and all that we have in Him if we put our trust in Him. It’s not about religion; it’s about a relationship with our Father in Heaven. This life given to us is a faith walk. Each person’s life is different in some way from another person. Many of us are fighting private battles, some in the public eye and some in private. Many choose to keep their life as private as they can and I can’t say I don’t blame them. Everyone is not your friend or has your best interest at heart sadly even when it comes to family members. Some like to see the downfall of others or for them to be in dire straits because in some sinister way it makes them feel better about themselves. Be careful with this way of thinking because what life looks like for you today can be a whole different story tomorrow. Never sit too high that you look down on others or feel that you are better because of your status in life (money, clout, real estate, race, material possessions, popularity or education) God doesn’t bestow more favorably to the well off versus the less fortunate. What does pride of life mean to Him, nothing! Remember His thoughts are not like ours nor are His ways. This is all the world’s mentally, and people fall into this trap thinking they must meet the standard to be seen as something big and more powerful, not so when it comes to God, the Father. None of that means anything to Him.

You can’t call everyone a friend, even when it comes to family members. There is so much jealousy, discord and motives hidden in the hearts of some people. We must be careful what we share with others even from the angle of having someone to share our troubles with and to be understood. Surprisingly some collect information and use it against you in some way if only to puff themselves up to others regarding the better life they have and not having to experience trouble or hardship like others may be experiencing.

Don’t you feel bad about what you may be going through, truth be told the one who tries to convince others that their life is 100% fine and dandy has encountered problems also they are just choosing not to let on that they are because they have an image to protect. They are not going to let on that there is any form of trouble in paradise. Bottom-line, not one person’s life is flawless. My point is there is someone we can take all our cares to and that is the Lord, Jesus. The four chapters this book is comprised of are: Healing and Restoration, Jesus, Love, and Peace.

Who hasn’t experienced some form of heart matter where they didn’t need to be healed and restored from? Trials in life deplete your peace and make you hesitant in opening your heart to anyone. Always remember this, God wants your heart. You can trust that the information He collects from you will only be used for your good in transforming your circumstances. He is the one you can go to for healing and restoring. He loved you first before anybody else and His love is real and true. The Peace you need to get through and rise above what may have held you bond for a season. Help is available, ask for it. The Word of God says we have not because we ask not.

God loves us and desires a relationship with us, for us to have one with Him we must get to know Him. Nothing should be more important than getting to know the one who gave His life so we could live, the one who provides, watches over and keeps us. A consistent prayer life is so beneficial in getting through life daily. Prayer and thanks should be a part of everyday life not just when things are going good but also when things are not going well. Again, God is our help in times of trouble because He is our way maker, our fixer, our healer and our Savior. Just remember to praise Him in good times and bad times. Trouble don't last always and while it remains present in our lives God will help us get through and past it.

In these forty-two pages I share with you situations in which God granted me peace to get through difficult times. It is He that teaches us how to grow in His word and become the person He wants us to be in Him. In life we can overcome our fears, rise above our circumstances, leave trouble behind us and walk forward being restored and healed by God’s Grace. He is the comforter of the heart and the restorer of the mind. Give Him all your cares. Pray for clarity, guidance and direction. God knows what He is doing, and He knows what is best for you. I repeat, there are so many promises of God in scripture, and He is not a man that He should lie, if He said it, He will surely do it. Remember we must do our part too; this is where faith comes in.

I hope Matters of the Heart will be encouraging to you. I hope it will answer some of your questions. Perhaps you may be wondering where and who to turn to so the healing and restoration process can begin. We must be seekers of truth and walk in truth. God's truth is found in His Holy Word. We must view everything from His perspective and take Him at His word. We are more than conquerors in Christ Jesus. The victory is ours through Him.

Peace and Love
