Garden of my Thoughts

The journey of a writer who loves Jesus.

 

When the Lord spoke to my spirit back in 2000 to write about His love, I took it as a calling to witness to others about the Love of God, Initially, when I began writing it was about human love, but He redirected my writing so that in reading it you would know about His Love.

It has been almost twenty years since I self-published my very first book back in 2006. It was a collection of what I often referred to as my love letters to God. I released some of what I had written in a book of poetry titled, “All for Jesus”. It was humbling and emotional at the thought of me sharing my love for God and the fact that He loved not only me but the world. I was so happy to share Jesus with others even though I didn’t know how others would receive it. Every word in those poems came straight from my heart about my Lord and Savior. As the years continued God expanded my writing on a deeper level and I kept writing until I had so much on paper, I pulled it all together in a book titled, “Garden of my Thoughts”. My boss, the late Lee M. Chapman was a writer, an author and the Overseer of a Christian Bookstore in Philadelphia where I worked. He loved to reach others for Christ. His writings made you think. He was such an encourager and admired my desire to write down all God would pour into me. Before his passing in 2016 he kept insisting that I have my writing published. At that time I felt “Garden of my Thoughts”, wasn’t quite ready. I will admit a part of me wished I had release it earlier than now but God has His timing. Here I am in 2025 thinking to myself God didn’t give me all that I wrote for it to sit on a shelf lying dormant. My heart’s desire is to make it available to people, so I pulled it all together in book form for people to have in their hands, read and meditate on. God gave the words to share with others, so I am doing just that. People are hurting and lost. My prayer is that what I am sharing along my journey in writing will give them hope and faith and draw them closer to the Lord. He is the only one that can heal, help, guide, lead and direct them through life’s journey.

 

Inside you will find a compilation of what I have written over the years. I hope you will ponder what you read as Gods leads you to. I have been journaling what the Lord has given me since 2000-2001 and in this book my writing spans from 2007 to 2013. To be honest I haven’t stopped and if it’s God’s will, another book in the future may follow. I dated each thing I wrote.

 

In releasing “Garden of my Thoughts” I hope to shed some light on the Father whom without I would not be able to articulate His Love to you, the reader. To Him be the Glory always. I pray that the words written in this book will strengthen your relationship with Him (or draw you unto Him) and help give you a more in-depth understanding of who He is, all that He is and that His love is like no other. It surpasses human love. All the scripture within this book is the Lord’s. He is the author of the scriptures. It is His Holy word left behind to give us guidance, wisdom and hope. The blueprint is His as well as the messages within the Holy Bible. I included scripture to support what I am saying because never do I want anyone to think I am trying to tell you my version of what the way is, whom you should follow, and how you should present yourself before God. The choice is an individual one and the choice is yours. I documented and am sharing these journals with Love, enlightenment and for the Glory of God alone. The Father in Heaven is our only judge.
